This was a great blog! You are so right about the hard work. All the lofty plans and ideals mean absolutely nothing without the work it takes to get there. It is heartening to me to know that people who did not vote for him are still hoping that he will succeed in getting us up and running again. He really is our last hope right now. It is scary times, for sure. But what I liked about his speech is that he knows it is ultimately up to the American people. And that he knows we are up to the task. We always have been, when the chips are down.
As for your weight - hang in there! You inspired me to get out yesterday for a 1 mile walk, and I am planning on a 2 mile walk today. I already feel better. My beginning of taking responsibility for my own health.
I enjoyed this :) I love how you just open yourself up, and look at things you may or may not want to see, no blinders, you just take what's there and move forward.
I'm very concerned about what will happen in the next 4 years. You've got a very honest and up front point of view, and I never fail to enjoy your voicing your thoughts! Keep blogging, I'm listening!
Oh, and we're both slacking Jody! I need to see a new post!
